Presents
A NEW FORMAT FOR THE KIND & SAFE SCHOOLS INITIATIVE
The Kind & Safe Schools Initiative, a proven effective character education and bullying prevention program, is now available online for use in schools. The cost of this package of three Program Guides and a complete evaluation of 15 objectives is $500. This is a one-time cost and these can be used again and again. In addition, a school can start the program this fall for as little as $100.
Schools can sign up, pay for the four products online, and download them (as PDF files) for immediate use; or a school can also purchase the products by sending a Purchase Order to The Kindness Campaign, 117 Lady Slipper Trail, Swannanoa, NC 28778. When the school sends a check to pay for the products, you will receive the access code that allows you to download the PDF copies of the Program Guides.
For an additional $40 per Program Guide, your school can receive bound hard copies of each these three Manuals. This extra cost also covers the Shipping and Handling. Schools only need to pay for one set of these Program Guides and then they receive permission to make additional copies, if needed. You can order each of the parts of Program Guides in the package separately, as well.
Description of KASSI
This award-winning character education and bullying prevention program is based on outcome research in over 125 schools. The character education part focuses on creating a positive school climate where increased attention is given to pro-social behaviors. Our findings show that when a school does this, bullying behaviors go down almost immediately by 30% and put-downs are reduced by up to 94%. By implementing the full program over two years, you can virtually eliminate bullying and put-downs as serious problems in your school.
The full Initiative consists of five main interventions: 1) All school, classroom and counseling activities for creating a character education program and a positive learning climate for your school, 2) All-school and classroom activities to help a school implement an effective bullying prevention program and school policy, 3) A course outline and learning activities to develop a conflict resolution course for all students, 4) Materials to help a school start a peer mediation program and 5) Guidelines and learning activities designed to initiate a restorative approach to a school’s discipline program.
